Slowly getting back in the habit of weeknotes since my memory has been going more than usual. Thank you very much to my DID for continuing to wipe my RAm every night. I'll still be writing normal blog posts, but this blog going forward will be more personal and experimental as opposed to the one on my (upcoming) art blog which will be at eudaemonics.ink for those who would like to drop by.

I also added a contact form to this website in case anyone would like to say hello to me! I don't have a special email reserved for this site, so I'm using Netlify's built-in form handler to receive and read all your messages. I'd love to say hi and answer any questions.

Life

  • I've been dealing with a chronic leg injury for a while and to be honest, it feels like it's not even getting better... I have another physical therapy appointment coming up this week so I just hope that goes well.
  • I've been hanging out with my friends and talking about creative projects a lot... I'm grateful to have so many wonderfully talented people in my life.

Work

  • I'm not really applying for work now, so this section might go away next week. I'm still working as a tutor part-time, but I'm mostly just recuperating/resting from an episode I had in October of last year.

Learning

  • I've been learning more stuff I can do with 11ty since I'm planning to use this going forward for updating my website and blogging. And frankly, I'll probably use it for every website I develop going forward.
  • I've also been learning nunjucks and handlebars for my new art website. My old gallery is still available to view on neocities though.
  • I've been learning Spanish recently... I think I'm picking it up pretty fast.

Creating

  • I've mostly been working on this website...I hope I don't do an overhaul too soon to the layout, but I've been self-conscious of ripping off Renkon every time I look at my site haha. I've been having to reteach myself CSS due to my unfortunate memory issues.
  • I've been proofreading my translations for my ongoing translation of diaLOG

Reading, watching, & playing

  • Reading: I've been reading on my 3DS lately. Not just because of the recent release of 3dslibris but because I actually downloaded the "100 Classic Book Collections" NDS rom on my 3DS. I've been reading a bit of The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins and the Fox and the Hound by Daniel P. Mannix.
  • Watching: I have been watching Young Sherlock, which feels embarrassing to say, maybe because it's so close to Young Sheldon?
  • Playing: I've been playing Pokopia and having an absolute blast with it. It's so good that it makes me want to actually buy Dragon Quest Builders 2 (Yes I've only played the first one on my Vita okay! I'm not made of money.) Besides that, I've been playing Gnosia, which a friend gifted to me on Steam. It's so good, but I can see how the gameplay can be a little bit boring at times.

I wish I remembered more but it's pretty late. Tomorrow I want to backfill my one line a day journal.
